The LTNS Parent Association provides opportunities for parents, families and caregivers to play an active role in their children's preschool experience. It works closely with the school's directors and teachers to organize many different events throughout the year for kids, parents and families, both in and out of the classroom: Parents' Night Out, the annual Cocktail Party, monthly Young Family Shabbat, mitzvah activities, children’s classes and more! Through these events and other activities, the Parent Association aspires to make your entire family feel like a part of the LTNS community and enjoy your years spent here.
Within the Parent Association there are many roles and volunteer opportunities that range across interests and time commitments:
Yearbook - Design and layout of the annual LTNS yearbook
Mitzvah - Coordinate school-wide Mitzvah projects, such as pie-making for the Mamaroneck Food Pantry over Thanksgiving, a December toy drive, a February pajama drive and spring sandwich-making for Midnight Run
Fundraising - Organize the annual Cocktail Party and Silent Auction in the spring, the PA's biggest fundraiser
Events - Plan out of school events, such as the Back to School Gathering in September and Parents' Night Out for parents
Garden - Maintain the garden and coordinate activities with classes, such as planting daffodils and sunflowers
Treasurer - Maintain the LTNS PA funds, make payments and deposits as needed
The LTNS Parent Association welcomes any parents who wish to get more involved at LTNS. If you are interested in joining, please contact the co-chairs at ltnsparentassociation@gmail.com. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions, concerns or ideas as well. Parents' feedback and involvement at LTNS play an integral role in making this community the extraordinary one it is.
